Ben Affleck’s upcoming directorial venture, “Air,” which delves into the inception of the Air Jordan brand and the collaboration between Nike and a young Michael Jordan, is scheduled for a global theatrical release on April 5. Following its theatrical run, the film will be available on Prime Video.
This project marks the inaugural endeavor from Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity, in partnership with Amazon Studios, Skydance Sports, and Mandalay Pictures.

The star-studded cast features Damon portraying Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro, Affleck as Nike co-founder Phil Knight, Jason Bateman as Rob Strasser, Chris Messina as David Falk, Matthew Maher as Peter Moore, Marlon Wayans as George Raveling, Chris Tucker as Howard White, Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan, Gustaf Skarsgård as Horst Dassler, and Julius Tennon as James Jordan.
Alex Convery penned “Air,” with a production team that includes David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jon Weinbach, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Madison Ainley, Jeff Robinov, Peter Guber, and Jason Michael Berman. The executive producers are Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Kevin Halloran, Michael Joe, Drew Vinton, John Graham, Peter E. Strauss, and Jordan Moldo.

Amazon Studios will handle global distribution, while Warner Bros. Pictures, as part of its distribution agreement with Amazon’s MGM, will oversee international distribution.
