During the candid conversation, the topic of whether any rapper had attempted to pursue a romantic relationship with her was broached. In her own words, she declared, “I don’t want any rapper in the industry.” She went on to explain that despite encountering a plethora of individuals in the music scene, no one had managed to capture her romantic interest. “I might be a fan of your music,” she admitted, “but it ain’t like, ‘Ooh, I’m crushing. Ooh, I want him!’ Nah, nothing like that. They don’t even be trying to talk to me.”
Sexyy Red pondered her situation and shared her thoughts with her friend, questioning whether she might come across as unappealing. She observed, “I don’t know what it be. I just told my friend, I said, ‘Damn, am I lame or something? I ain’t got no rappers.’ Because they do not be on it with me. They just be on some cool shit when they meet me. Because they be fing with all the hoes but when they meet me, they just be on some, ‘Man, I f wit you.’ So I’ma leave it like that. I don’t want them looking at me no different.”
Recently, rumors had circulated suggesting a romantic connection between Sexyy Red and Boosie Badazz. These speculations arose due to a mysterious photograph she shared on social media, depicting her legs in bed alongside an individual wearing an ankle monitor.
Captioning the image with lyrics from her latest song “Shake Yo Dreads,” she wrote, “I like f***in wit drillaz… dread head killaz.”
However, Boosie Badazz promptly addressed and dismissed these rumors. He took to social media later that day, making it clear that he was not the person in the photograph. Boosie asserted, “IM BLOCKING ALL U MFS N MY DM ASKING IS THAT ME ON DA PICTURE WITH SEXY RED,” he wrote. “YAll SEE THAT AINT MY ANKLE SIZE R COLOR.”
Fans had initially speculated that Boosie Badazz was the mystery man in the picture, primarily due to the ankle monitor he had been seen wearing in recent months. It’s worth noting that Boosie had been released on bond in June, following a stint of just over a week in jail on charges related to firearms, including felony possession and transporting firearms across state lines.
