Under the “On the Road Again” initiative, Live Nation-owned and operated clubs are poised to inject tens of millions of dollars into the coffers of club artists and their crew. They will do this by offering a substantial $1,500 in gas and travel cash per show to both headliners and support acts, in addition to their regular nightly performance compensation. What’s more, these clubs have committed to waiving merchandise selling fees, ensuring artists retain 100% of their merch profits.
In an admirable move, Live Nation is also set to bestow financial bonuses upon local promoters and tour representatives who play a pivotal role in executing shows. Additionally, venue crew members who have diligently worked over 500 hours in 2023 will receive financial support. The resources for these initiatives will be derived directly from the venues’ existing earnings.
Michael Rapino, President and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, expressed his commitment to the cause, saying, “Delivering for live artists is always our core mission. The live music industry is continuing to grow, and as it does, we want to do everything we can to support artists at all levels on their touring journey, especially the developing artists in clubs. As Willie says, this is all about making it a little easier for thousands of artists to continue doing what they love: going out and playing for their fans.”
Furthermore, “On the Road Again” is not just about aiding artists but extends its generosity to the broader industry. The program will contribute a substantial $5 million to Crew Nation, a move that aims to support crew members across the industry who are facing unforeseen hardships.

This program will impact thousands of artists this year and help make touring a little bit easier,” added Nelson.

Warner Chappell Music Wraps Up Annual Las Vegas Songwriting Camp
Warner Chappell Music (WCM) concluded its highly anticipated annual Las Vegas Songwriting Camp with resounding success. The event brought together a diverse array of artists and songwriters from around the world for collaborative music creation.
In a remarkable partnership with YouTube Music, Warner Records, Atlantic Records, RCA Records, and other label sponsors, WCM welcomed a star-studded lineup of talent. Participants included Chlöe, Danna Paola, Bebe Rexha, Yng Lvcas, P2J, the Proof, Lydia Night, and hitmakers like Murda Beatz, Tay Keith, Amy Allen, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Nova Wav, among others.
“This year’s camp was the first time we brought together creators from all the major music markets – the U.S., Mexico, South Korea, U.K., Spain, and more. We had rap producers working on K-pop briefs and Latin stars pairing up with country acts – we even had writers working with Nickelodeon actor and trending TikTok personality Trey Makai, and it was inspiring to see everyone get out of their comfort zones,” remarked Ryan Press, President of North America at WCM.
Tay Keith, one of the camp’s participants, shared his experiences, saying, “This camp always brings the biggest and best names together, and this year was no different. I’ve been really focused on building myself as a producer and an artist and expanding the types of music I’m making, regardless of the genre, and through this camp, I was able to do that. Warner Chappell organized an amazing space to collaborate in unique and fresh ways, and all the sessions gave me freedom to get really creative.”
Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the music industry as these initiatives continue to shape the landscape for artists and enthusiasts alike.
