The series revolves around Margaret Wright (Marcia Gay Harden), a meticulous attorney, and her talented yet scruffy son Todd (Skylar Astin), whom she hires as the in-house investigator for her law firm. Todd, the black sheep of the affluent Wright family, is a laidback and quick-thinking former private detective who lost his license due to his flexible interpretation of the law. The dynamic between Margaret’s commitment to excellence and strict adherence to the law clashes with Todd’s scrappy and unconventional methods. The cast also includes Madeline Wise, Tristen J. Winger, Inga Schlingmann, and Rosa Arredondo.
