Peta Murgatroyd and actor Barry Williams, who had a rough start in the first week, put in a great deal of effort to master their Cha-Cha routine set to “Oye Como Va” by Tito Puente. However, their hard work was met with disappointment when judge Carrie Ann Inaba awarded them a surprisingly low score of 5. The shock of the score led to a candid outburst from Murgatroyd, who used strong language that was bleeped out during the live broadcast.
A Shocking Elimination
In a truly unexpected turn of events, it was not Murgatroyd and Williams who landed in the bottom two. Instead, the controversial contestant of the season, Adrian Peterson, and Jamie Lynn Spears found themselves at risk of elimination. Peterson’s package for the week aimed to connect with the audience by showcasing his life at home and introducing partner Britt Stewart to his newborn baby. Despite these efforts, Peterson and Stewart received a score of 15, three points lower than their first-week performance.
The biggest surprise of the night came when Jamie Lynn Spears was eliminated from the competition. Judge Derek Hough referred to it as a “shocker,” especially considering that several other teams had earned lower scores.
