Lou Doillon, the multi-talented French artist, actress, and singer-songwriter, is set to star in the Italian comedy “Quasi a casa.” The film is directed by Carolina Pavone, a former assistant director on several Nanni Moretti films. Shooting is currently underway in Rome for this sophisticated comedy.

In “Quasi a casa,” Doillon plays the role of an eclectic and successful singer who forms a tumultuous friendship with a younger female musician who idolizes her. Doillon, known for her fashion career and as the daughter of Jane Birkin, has made her mark as an accomplished model, actor, and singer. She became a French fashion icon in her teens, worked with Givenchy, and is currently the face of Cartier’s Baignoire watchmaking collection.
Lou Doillon has previously acted in Italian cinema, appearing in Abel Ferrara’s “Go Go Tales” and more recently in French director Maïween’s “Polisse.” She also starred in “A Child of Yours,” directed by her father, Jacques Doillon.
Carolina Pavone, the director of “Quasi a casa,” is a promising young filmmaker who has collaborated with Nanni Moretti on several projects, including “My Mother” and “Three Floors.” She recently worked as an assistant director on Moretti’s latest film, “A Brighter Tomorrow.”
The film’s cast also includes Maria Chiara Arrighini, Stefano Abbati (“My Mother”), and Michele Eburnea (“A Brighter Tomorrow”). “Quasi a casa” is co-produced by Nanni Moretti through his company Sacher Films, along with Vivo Film and RAI Cinema. Vivo Film is known for its work with various Italian directors, including Susanna Nicchiarelli, Laura Bispuri, and Andrea de Sica.
