Olivia Minogue, the contestant in question, delivered a compelling Blind Audition with Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down,” captivating the attention and garnering chair turns from esteemed coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Niall Horan. Despite John Legend’s palpable desire for victory, his chances seemed slim as Olivia disclosed her lucky charm – a necklace adorned with “Niall”.

Niall, reminiscing about the success of the band’s merchandise, shared a humorous tale from a past encounter. He recounted, “The first time I met Kim Kardashian, I was backstage at an Ariana Grande concert,” he recalled. “And she brought North [West], her daughter, up, and this is how she introduced North to me, she said, ‘North, this is the guy that sings from your toothbrush!” Joining in the laughter, Olivia confessed to possessing a similar One Direction-themed toothbrush, seemingly diminishing John’s hopes of acquiring the talented singer for his team.
John, nevertheless, commended Niall, expressing, “I just want to respect your guys’ merch ingenuity.” Both Reba and John endeavored to persuade Olivia to make an unconventional choice, but it became clear that she was destined for Team Niall. Who knows, perhaps a new toothbrush is in the cards for her!

In a conversation with ET, Niall expressed his nostalgia for Blake Shelton, who had left the show earlier this year after an illustrious 23 seasons, making him The Voice’s most triumphant coach. “Of course I miss Blake, I’m glad I was there for his last season. I got to learn off him and have a bit of a laugh while doing it.” Niall shared.
Adding to the camaraderie, Gwen Stefani playfully remarked, “Every time he visits town, he inquires, ‘Can I come over?’ They share a unique friendship, akin to little-big buddies.”
This blend of humor, nostalgia, and competition sets the stage for what promises to be an enthralling season of The Voice.
