This exciting development means that the stars of “The Iron Claw” are now officially authorized to promote the film worldwide before its highly anticipated wide release this December.
The film explores the riveting yet tragic story of the Von Erichs, an American pro wrestling family. Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White take on the roles of Kevin and Kerry Von Erich, respectively, two brothers who achieved legendary status in the WWE Hall of Fame for their extraordinary wrestling skills during the ’80s and ’90s. The film is written and directed by Sean Durkin, known for his work on “Martha Marcy May Marlene.” It delves into a tale of remarkable athleticism intertwined with personal tragedies, all set within the confines of a family plagued by what was famously known as “the Von Erich curse.”
Joining Efron and White in the cast are Harris Dickinson, Stanley Simons, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney, and Lily James. “The Iron Claw” is set to provide an intriguing alternative when it hits theaters on December 22, coinciding with the release of Universal and Illumination’s animated comedy, “Migration.” Following closely behind are major blockbuster releases, including “Aquaman 2” and the highly anticipated WB musical film, “The Color Purple.”
